Dean Heta is a proud Wiradjuri and Ngāpuhi man with over 15 years of experience driving impactful Indigenous engagement and community initiatives. His career spans leadership roles across government, education, and corporate sectors, where he has worked closely with Traditional Owners, Aboriginal communities, and key stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes and foster long-lasting partnerships.

Dean’s expertise includes First Peoples engagement, cultural knowledge, project management, and the development of Reconciliation Action Plans (RAPs). He has played a pivotal role in significant initiatives such as Melbourne Water’s RAP and contributed to the Victoria 2026 Commonwealth Games First Peoples Leadership Group, ensuring Indigenous perspectives and priorities remain central to decision-making.
