In an effort to increase the connectivity of the Pilbara in Western Australia to drive efficient power use, Pilbara Energy Company, a subsidiary of Fortescue, planned to develop the Pilbara Transmission Project, a high voltage power transmission network. The expert CoMade team was engaged to install and commission four 220kV GIS Siemens units as substations across the Pilbara region. Utilising extremely complex equipment and navigating a raft of delivery challenges including the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, remote location and logistics to deliver safely and ahead of the project deadline.

The Ravenswood expansion project involved the transition of existing underground mine operations at Ravenswood, located approximately 200km south-west of Townsville in North Queensland, Australia. The expansion project involved the development of three large open pits, namely Nolans East, Sarsfield, and Buck Reef West.

CoMade were engaged at the special request of the Principal Contractor to provide vital and supplementary resources during the construction and commissioning of the new second processing plant. Mobilising within just 5 days from appointment, our team were on the ground to ensure recovery of program timelines, successful defect rectification and construction of incomplete works.

CoMade’s top-tier, outcome-driven commissioning team drove collaboration across resource groups, establishing a daily program of priority driven handover packages from construction to commissioning, resulting in seamless integration.

Our skilled team were engaged to deliver the Springvale Mount Piper Water Treatment Plant and pipeline project. This facility was designed to service the water treatment needs of the Mount Piper Power Station, located 125km west of Sydney, Mount Piper Power Station provides approximately 15% of New South Wales’ electricity.

CoMade Group delivered highly skilled construction and commissioning technicians, civil and key engineering services personnel to ensure successful completion of all allocated scope of works. Evolution Mining’s Lake Cowal operation is a world-class open pit gold operation, undertaking significant development of the underground mine to extend its mine life past 17 years, ideally beyond 2042. Located 350km west of Sydney, this project takes place in a remote location which provides an additional level of (welcome) challenge for the CoMade construction and commissioning team.

CoMade’s experience and proven process have ensured rapid mobilisation of a highly skilled team to tackle this project, closing a critical gap identified with regard to incomplete design detail to focus on and achieve program recovery.
